FAQ LNT

Q: What fitness level is required?

A: Our passion is to make exercise fun and accessible for everyone, regardless of your level of fitness. Our programs range from those with little to no experience with exercise (beginner programs) to top level athletes (advanced programs)

Q: What equipment do I need for the programs?

A: For our gym programs, any commercial gym will have the equipment required to perform the exercises. Some exercises may require a resistance band to be used, which you might need to purchase if your gym does not have those available. For our home programs, all you need is your body and maybe a piece of furniture like a chair, sofa or bed.

Q: Are there alternative exercises that I can do when injured?

A: Please consult your local health professional before trying out any of our programs.

Alternatively, you can book an online consultation with one of or rehabilitation experts for alternative exercises.

Q: Do I need previous experience in gym training to do these programs?

A: No. Our beginner programs are catered for those new to the gym and learning how to move correctly. The intermediate program is designed for you to advance your fitness levels if you are currently in the gym, or coming back to the gym after stopping. The Advance program is suitable for experienced gym goers who frequently train and have continued to do so for several months with good movement. Our programs provide clear instructional videos on how to perform each exercise with the correct technique.

Q: How long will my program be?

A: Depending on the difficulty level of the program selected (beginner, intermediate, advanced) and the type of program (home, hypertrophy, strength, or power) the programs range from 45 minutes to up to 80 minutes long. In general, strength and power programs can take a little longer due to longer resting periods and lower body focused programs take a little longer than upper body.

Q: Can I purchase other programs if I finish my first program?

A: Yes. Once you complete a program ie beginner, then purchase intermediate and you will continue to progress. Or if your schedule has changed and you prefer to move from a 2 day split program to a 4 day split (or vice versa) you can do that also.

Q: Can I purchase two different programs at the same time?

A: Yes, you can do that. An example of this would be purchasing a 2 day split hypertrophy program and a 2 day split strength program and training 4 days a week. Some of our clients who wish to train more regularly but struggle to get to the gym everyday tend to purchase a 2 day split gym based program alongside a home based program.

Q: What is the best program to help gain muscle?

A: Any resistance based training helps you gain muscle mass. Generally speaking, hypertrophy programs are specifically designed programs to put on muscle mass. However, our home, strength and power programs all have resistance training components that help put on muscle. Hypertrophy helps put on muscle, strength makes you stronger and power makes you more versatile and athletic (our home programs have elements of all three).

Q: What is the best program to help lose weight?

A: Any form of exercise will help you lose fat, if of course, you keep an eye on your nutrition. Conditioning and high intensity interval training can help burn calories, however in many ways resistance training can be a more effective way of losing fat. This is because resistance training helps put on muscle, and more muscle requires more fuel and calories are the fuel. Therefore, having more muscles increases your metabolism and helps you burn more calories! This is why all our programs focus on resistance training as it helps put on muscle, lose fat and improve overall body fat composition.

Q: Do I need to take dietary supplements?

A: No, you do not need to take any supplements as long as you are eating well. Remember, they are called supplements because they are intended to supplement a healthy and well balanced diet. That being said there are some supplements out there that can help with performance, recovery and overall health. We recommend you consult a health professional to see if a supplement is right for you.

Q: Do I need to see my doctor before commencing exercise?

A: Your health and safety is foremost. If you have an underlying health condition, we recommend you to talk to your doctor before commencing any exercise. If you have no underlying health conditions that you are aware of, we recommend you complete the PAR-Q. This is an easily accessible health screening questionnaire to see if you are able to safely participate in exercise.
